The Audi S5 – The Crème De La Crème of Cars

Audi certainly have a wide range of cars in their inventory and for a long period of time have been producing new innovations in design and technology that has helped to keep them at the forefront of the motor industry. Owned by Volkswagen, Audi has been able to corner many different markets thanks to these cars and it looks as though they are showing no signs of slowing up anytime soon. One particular vehicle that really has caught the attention of the buying public and critics alike is the splendid Audi S5, which is the sports version of the original used Audi A5. Very much a saloon vehicle, the S5 can also be described as being a stretched out Coupe given its overall look and feel. Some may say that it is rather aggressive, but I tend to disagree by saying that it offers a significant class, which is unseen on other vehicles. The S5 is all about performance because the used Audi A5 has already covered the exterior visuals. In fact, aside from the “S” badge and a few minor external modifications, there is not so much difference between the two in the looks department. However, where there is certain change is in the engine performance. With its 4.2 litre V8 engine that develops 354 PS, the Audi S5 delivers extraordinary power that creates a very responsive driving experience. In terms of the cars’ 0 to 60 mph rates, the S5 is impressive in that it only takes 5.1 seconds. Now some people may be reading this and thinking that is not overly impressive, but bear this in mind; the Audi S5 is not a Ferrari or Porsche and also, it is not the smallest vehicle, which gives further weight to the argument that its engine performance is mighty impressive.

MINI Cooper S - The Sports Highlight of MINI

When BMW re-launched the MINI brand, it did so by introducing the MINI One, which was then followed by the MINI Cooper. For a good period of time, these two models carried the flag for the new brand and did a very good job in the process. Evolution is a natural progression of life and MINI decided that they needed something with a little more venom, power and speed. This was to be a risky decision as it would mean going in a direction that was totally opposite to the original Mini from the 1960’s. However, it needed to be done if the new batch of MINI cars were to continue to be successful. Step up the MINI Cooper S; a fast and sublime addition to the new and used MINI range, which offered exactly what was required; venom, power and speed. Read the rest of this entry »

Lease or Buy?

One of the most common and popular debates among drivers and buyers today is whether or not to lease or buy a used cars. Well I suppose each options has its own advantages and disadvantages and the best comparison to make would be whether or not to buy a house or rent. Ok so in short, leasing new cars is like renting a vehicle for a certain period of time and then at the end of the agreement, there is an option to return the car and not have to pay anything more, keep it and transfer ownership or return it and pay off the remaining fees to own it.

XJ40

Throughout the 1970s Jaguar had been developing “Project XJ40″ which was an all-new model intended to replace the original (by now Series III) XJ6. Due to problems at British Leyland and the fuel crisis, the car was continually delayed. Proposals from Jaguar’s in-house designers and Pininfarina were received. Eventually, it was decided an internal design would be carried through to production. This car was finally released in October 1986 with (in European markets) controversial square headlamps on all but the lowest specification; these were a lingering feature from the 1970s development. The car was considered more evolutionary than revolutionary,[citation needed] and had to fight off a new competitor: the recently enlarged BMW 7 Series (E32). While the British press favoured the Jaguar, the XJ40 tended to lose comparison tests run by German publications. Only six-cylinder models were initially offered: a 2.9 L (in Europe) and a 3.6 L. The V12 (XJ12) and a long wheelbase model, including a high-roofed Daimler Majestic model (reviving the used Jaguar model name of 1958-1962) and destined for official use (one was used by the British prime minister), were again delayed, being launched at the very end of the XJ40’s life.

This car was originally made for those who take pleasure from the off road driving, but nowadays more and more people buy it for the urban use as well. If you want to buy a used Jeep you can choose from a variety of engines and additional equipment which is only limited by the capacity of your wallet. Read the rest of this entry »

Vehicle replacement insurance is a type of gap insurance which is available for all vehicles. The only limiting assumption is that the car, minivan, van, SUV or truck needs to be financed, purchased on a personal loan or simply owned outright. This kind of GAP can be taken out both by private individuals and companies. It might be good to remember that the vehicle for which the vehicle replacement insurance is purchased does not have to be new. In fact – quite the opposite, as the car or van can be up to five years old – depending on the insurance provider policy. Read the rest of this entry »

Used cars

This is a type of insurance that is cheaper than the ever present and popular comprehensive car insurance. The minim requirement for all cars is in fact third party fire and theft, which protects other people and their property also. General third party insurance though is also quite popular and may be used on low value or used cars. It is very unlikely that someone would take a out such a policy if they had a brand new car that was worth an awful lot of money as they stand to lose a lot of money should they be involved in an unfortunate collision. Vans

It seems that not all are suffering from the current climate. Today I heard that Fiat SpA have put plans in place to further expand in the country of Serbia. Apparently this will be done by spending a whopping 240 million euros as part of joint venture activities involving their Iveco and Magneti Marelli. Pretty impressive stuff if you ask me. My opinion is that if you spend now, by the time this “recession” is over, your return on investment will be much higher. By implementing this new strategy, Fiat will be able to increase its production levels. This new business venture will see Fiat own seventy percent and thirty percent by the Serbian government. The target for Iveco’s is to produce over 2,000 auto buses per year. The responsibility of Magneti Marelli is to produce vehicle suspensions, exhausts, plastic and light components. Let’s hope that we some new and used vans come into the marketplace as a result of this new venture.
