The Peugeot 206 was first seen on the streets in 1998 as the next generation of the Peugeot 205, which had been around since 1983. The Peugeot 206 has become the best selling model of Peugeot but with the 207 already in the markets since 2006 - production of the 206 will be discontinued in 2010. The Peugeot 206 was the best selling car in Europe from 2001 to 2003. The used Peugeot 206 cars usually hold their value well, due to high demand. Benefits of the used Peugeot 206 include very good handling, a nice design and reasonable pricing. The boot is also surprisingly roomy, boasting 245 litres of space to be utilised. The engine has been pointed out to be reliable. When the 206 first came out into the markets, another positive aspect in the newcomer was that the regular service intervals for the petrol powered models were increased to 30,000 kilometers. On the downside, it is more likely than its rivals to require more maintenance, leading to extra costs. The interior layout may also seem a little unconventional. Still, even in spite of these flaws, the used Peugeot 206 is good value for money, being an enjoyable city-car, which is easy to park and one that certainly has style.
