Used cars

This is a type of insurance that is cheaper than the ever present and popular comprehensive car insurance. The minim requirement for all cars is in fact third party fire and theft, which protects other people and their property also. General third party insurance though is also quite popular and may be used on low value or used cars. It is very unlikely that someone would take a out such a policy if they had a brand new car that was worth an awful lot of money as they stand to lose a lot of money should they be involved in an unfortunate collision. Whilst comprehensive cover does seem to dominate the car insurance industry, third party cover is not that far behind with more and more people buying used cars as opposed to buying new. This is because of the current financial climate and the fact that new car sales have decreased since the demise. What is worth noting is that whilst comprehensive cover may offer insurance for more situations than third party insurance, reading the small print is strongly advised as it contains some very important information about what exactly is covered.
